Located in the Izmit district of Kocaeli, the tower was built by Izmit Municipality in 1902 on the 25th anniversary of the accession of Abdulhamid II to the throne. <\/p>\n

It was built by Musa Kaz\u0131m Bey, the Mutasarr\u0131fi of Izmit, and was constructed with travertine stones brought from Hereke and Tav\u015fanc\u0131l.<\/p>\n

Izmit Clock Tower, which has an elegant appearance where you can see the neoclassical architectural work, has dimensions of 3.65 meters – 3.65 square meters and there are fountains on three sides.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Ma\u015fukiye, formerly known as Vo\u00e7be Hable, was founded when Circassians settled in the region during the Caucasian-Russian Wars that ended in 1864. The name of Ma\u015fukiye, which has a nature reminiscent of the Black Sea vegetation, comes from ma\u015fuk, which means lover.
